Nimbus Managing Director, Richard Hewitt, has more than 20 years’ experience in agribusiness. Prior to establishing Nimbus in 2015, he was a regional business banking manager with one of the ‘big four’ bank with responsibility for nine staff servicing 350 clients in Central NSW. Born and raised on a family farm in the NSW Southern Tablelands and a one-time jackaroo with Clyde Agriculture in central-western NSW, Richard has a strong empathy with farming and regional communities. Richard is an Accredited Finance Broker with the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (1st Hons) from the University of Sydney; a Master of Business Administration from the University of New England, majoring in agricultural, international trade and marketing; and a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.

Andrew Schmetzer has almost 30 years’ experience in agribusiness and commercial banking. Born and raised in the Riverina, Andrew joined one of the ‘big four’ banks in 1988 after leaving school and worked in its Ariah Park, Ardlethan, Barham, Beckom, Griffith, Leeton and Narrandera branches before relocating to Wagga Wagga in 1996. He has a strong background in commercial banking for small, medium and corporate enterprises and agribusinesses. Andrew has a Graduate Certificate in Small and Medium Enterprise Management from Charles Sturt University and a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.

Born into a farming family and raised on a mixed farm in South West NSW, Gus has a passion for agriculture and the land. His background includes stints as a jackaroo in the Kimberley region of WA, driving combine harvesters in northern NSW and North America and working on the family farm for several years. Gus joined the banking sector in 2007, with postings in Wagga Wagga, Albury, Richmond, Townsville, Charters Towers and Melbourne. Gus has extensive experience in the beef, sheep, cropping, dairy, intensive livestock and regional business sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management from the University of Sydney and a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.

Michael Adams joins Nimbus after more than a decade’s experience working in a prominent family-owned financial planning practice and the agricultural service industry. Michael has a keen interest in business and finance, particularly banking and share trading. He holds a Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking and a Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking from the Institute of Strategic Management and is now completing his studies towards a Bachelor of Finance, majoring in financial planning, from Charles Sturt University. When not at work, Michael enjoys playing sport, including hockey, golf and lawn bowls, and developing his lifestyle farm.
